Where to configure this
Open Community, Levels and rewards, under Members and roles. Choose your server at the top, and use the switch to turn it on or off.
What it does
Keep your community engaged with a progression system that rewards participation and recognises your most active members.
XP system
Members earn XP each time they send a message. You control the minimum and maximum XP awarded per message to fine-tune progression speed.
Level roles
Automatically assign Discord roles when members reach specific levels, unlocking new channels and permissions as they progress.
Leaderboard
View the top members in your server ranked by level and XP, encouraging friendly competition within your community.
Level-up announcements
Celebrate milestones with customisable level-up messages. Choose which channel announcements appear in, or let them post where the member was chatting.
Channel exclusions
Prevent XP gain in specific channels such as bot commands or spam channels, keeping the system fair and focused on genuine participation.
Role exclusions
Exclude specific roles from earning XP entirely. Useful for bot roles, moderator accounts, or any members you wish to opt out.
Voice XP
Optionally award XP for time spent in voice channels too, with its own rate and a minimum number of members required in the channel.
Configuration
All levels and rewards settings are managed from the Levels and rewards tab of the Discord bot.
XP rates
Set the minimum and maximum XP awarded per message. A random value within this range is given each time a member sends a message, adding variety to progression.
Level-up message
Customise the announcement sent when a member levels up. Use the {user} placeholder for the member's name and {level} for their new level.
Announcement channel
Optionally choose a specific channel for all level-up announcements. If left blank, the announcement appears in the channel where the member earned the level.
Exclusions
Specify channels and roles that should be excluded from XP gain. This ensures your levels rewards genuine community interaction.
Voice XP settings
Enable XP for time spent in voice channels, with its own rate and award interval, plus a minimum number of non-bot members required in the channel. Muted, deafened and AFK-channel members are excluded by default, and you can list voice channels that never award XP.
